Hellcat tuning FAQ

Can you tune my Hellcat remotely?

Yes. Our Remote Tuning Complete Kit for Hellcat-powered vehicles uses the HP Tuners RTD4 and the TDN app, with unlimited revisions during your tuning window. See the kit in our store.

Which Hellcat-powered vehicles do you tune?

The kit is optimized for the Challenger and Charger Hellcat, Redeye, Jailbreak, Demon and Demon 170, Durango Hellcat, Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, and Ram TRX.

What modifications are supported?

Pulleys, fuel system upgrades, long tubes, intakes and exhaust, E85 / race gas / 93 octane, ported superchargers and throttle bodies, cams and built engines.

Can you tune the transmission too?

Yes. Optional transmission tuning for the 8HP70 and 8HP90 is available with the remote kit.

Does my 2015+ Hellcat need the PCM unlocked?

Yes. 2015+ Mopar PCMs must be unlocked before tuning with HP Tuners. The remote kit includes PCM unlocking if you select it, and we also offer in-house PCM unlocking on its own. Kits include a Smart Access Cable for 2018+ vehicles.

Can I bring my car to the shop for dyno tuning instead?

Yes. We tune on our in-house chassis dyno in Hampshire, IL, by appointment, and we also street tune to perfect drivability. More about the dyno & shop.

How quickly will I get a tune revision?

Tuning services are scheduled in advance. If your tuning isn’t scheduled, we will do our best to return a revision within 24–48 hours during normal business hours. Details are in our Rates & Terms.

Do you need my stock calibration?

Yes, please. For any tuning service we request access to the OEM stock calibration as the starting point. If it isn’t available, extra work is needed to correct or clean up the calibration, and an additional charge applies (see Rates & Terms).
